Elinor Nechemya

I'm a Tel-Aviv based filmmaker, writer and visual artist.

I've studied Film at 'Minshar for Art' in Tel-Aviv and have a BA in Humanities.

These days I've completed the work on my short experimental film Everlasting MOM. The film will have an International premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival - Short Cuts, on September 2017. I'm developing the script for LEVANT, A short tragicomedy, which will be shot in Israel in 2018 in collaboration with the International project 'Jump the Fence'.

For the past two years I've been developing the script for my debut feature film Present Progressive, to be entering funding stages in 2017. The project participated at Berlinale Script Station 2016, as part of Berlanale Talents. It was also a part of Midpoint international script development workshop of FAMU in summer 2015.

My Diploma film Off Season (2014), was screened in many International Film Festivals, among them Slamdance, Emir Kusturica's Kustendorf, Third Eye Asian and Sehsüchte, and won several awards.

I'm teaching film and working as a script supervisor in Israeli feature films. Among others I've worked with filmmaker Eran Kolirin on his latest feature "beyond the mountains and hills" and with Elad Keidan on his debut "Afterthought". I'm writing for Israeli film magazine 'Front Row'.
