Elinor Nechemya

I'm a Tel-Aviv based filmmaker, writer and visual artist.


I've studied Film at 'Minshar for Art' in Tel-Aviv and have a BA in Humanities. 

I'm the writer and director of seven short films, two of them - Follow Me and Our Hearts Beat Like War will be premiered in 2020.

 

My 2017 short film Everlasting MOM, premiered at TIFF and screened at major international film festivals such as Locarno, Sarajevo and Palm Springs.

My 2014 Diploma film Off Season, was screened in many international film festivals, among them Slamdance, Emir Kusturica's Kustendorf, Third Eye Asian and Sehsüchte, and won several awards.

For the past years I've been developing the script for the feature projects: ISLAND and Present Progressive, The last one was part of the Berlinale Script Station in 2016. It was also part of Midpoint International Script Development workshop of FAMU. ISLAND will enter funding stage in early 2021.

In 2018 I was part of the Locarno Filmmakers Academy.
